The Test Automation Interface (TAI) for the ASL 5000™ Breathing Simulator enables users in device development and manufacturing to integrate the ASL 5000 into their proprietary systems for automated device testing.

A standard feature, originally developed with the release of software 3.4, the TAI comprises a set of commands which control the ASL 5000 software from within a separate software environment (i.e. LabVIEW, C, C++, etc.), a critical prerequisite for automated testing in product development and quality assurance. Multiple ASL 5000 systems can be run on the same CPU.

Benefits of the TAI include time savings, accelerated development, and better control over testing protocols. Click here to watch a video demonstration.

Since our solution is based on an executable that emulates control of the unmodified, standard ASL 5000 Host Software’s user interface, it does not invalidate any verification and validation of the ASL 5000 Host Software. A user’s implementation in a dedicated test automation software environment will not have to be version-specific.

Data returned from the ASL 5000 is made available either on a network via a waveform and breath parameter server or via direct output files converted to ascii.  This data can easily be analyzed with any data acquisition software.
