To help you quickly master the power of the RespiSim® System, we offer hands-on training at your facility, as well as live distance training, conducted via web conference.

Training is conducted by one of our Clinical Educators: Kimber Catullo, M.Ed., RRT, CHSE; Jessica Dietz, MS, RRT-ACCS; or Justina Gerard, BSRC, MBA, RRT.

An IngMar Medical technical product specialist will walk you through the initial set up of the equipment several days in advance of the training to ensure that all systems are go.

Earn Continuing Education Credits

Both our customer-site and live distance training courses have been approved for Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) credit by the American Association for Respiratory Care. They may also be submitted for recertification for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare’s Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and CHSOS (Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist) professional certification.

Customer-Site Training

This hands-on interactive training is conducted using your own RespiSim equipment on two consecutive days with seven hours of instruction (break time excluded) each day.

  • Getting started with your ASL 5000™
  • Running interactive simulations
  • Advanced patient model customization
  • Loading and running IngMar curriculum modules

Day Two:

  • Scripting and patient modeling
  • Data analysis 
  • Building custom curriculum modules
  • Running and editing curriculum modules
  • Debriefing and research capabilities
Live Distance Training

This hands-on interactive training is conducted via web conference with one of IngMar Medical’s Clinical Educators. You can follow along using all of your own equipment, ask questions, and share your screen. Each session is two hours.

(6 hours CRCE credit)

Session One: Understanding ASL 5000 Concepts

  • Getting started with your ASL 5000

Session Two: Running and Creating Scenarios

  • Running an IngMar curriculum module
  • Customizing an IngMar curriculum module

  • Cost Effective – Live Distance Training cuts out the travel expenses associated with sending a Clinical Educator to your facility
  • Convenient – Two-hour sessions can be easier to schedule than a two-day session
  • Schedule – Shorter sessions with homework/practice time in between allow you to solidify learning before progressing to the next topic
  • Environmentally Friendly – Live Distance Training saves CO2 emissions associated with travel
