We want to help users of the Aurora manikin run simulations that are as effective and seamless as possible. The Aurora manikin utilizes our proprietary RespiSim® Software, which serves as the platform for controlling all aspects of the patient’s condition during an educational scenario. Therefore, we provide Aurora users with access to the RespiSim® Learning Management System (LMS). The RespiSim® LMS includes a range of interactive, self-paced learning courses that help users reach their educational goals with Aurora.

How to Build and Run Lung Models

This interactive, self-paced course will allow users to become well-versed with the basics of the RespiSim® software and learn how to create combinations of lung models using compliance, resistance, patient effort, and rate.

The four units that make up this learning path include: How to Build and Run Lung Models, Exploring RespiSim® Scenario Map and Worksheet, Exploring the RespiSim® Debrief Environment, and Building and Running a RespiSim® Scenario.

Learning Objectives:

  • Objective 1: Understand how to load a scenario within RespiSim®

Exploring RespiSim® Scenario Map and Worksheet

This interactive, self-paced course will allow users to learn how to navigate the Scenario Map area. Users will learn how the clinical information and choices made by the learner interact with the software. Users will also learn how to enter the simulation information in the Worksheet area to help develop the content of the RespiSim® scenario.
