Some modern ventilators are capable of adjusting their settings (or suggesting settings) based on patient oxygen saturation and CO2-levels. Working with these ventilators requires actual output of SpO2 and EtCO2 signals to feed to the ventilator. As part of the RespiSim® System, an optional OxSim® OX-1 Pulse Oximeter Simulator can be used.
This device simulates the patient response settings for Oxygen saturation (SpO2) that then can serve as a ventilator input for a ventilator’s control and monitoring strategy.
