Key engineering professional to support rapid growth of company with new product development and engineering support of existing products. Position requires both electronics/electrical and mechanical engineering background. Tasks range from concept design to production documentation. Project and other management skills are critical as this position is charged with building up the company's engineering capacity. Product Development
Design (electronics/electrical as well as mechanical) of respiratory simulation devices including aspects of industrial/human factors design, assembly design and detail, fabrication procedures and documentation.

Project Management
Lead and participate in projects for the design of new products and support of existing products for respiratory simulation. Interface with key vendors and external engineering resources (software, prototyping shops).

Department Development & Management
Expand and manage engineering capacity utilizing external and internal resources

Supervise software contractors & mentor interns. Develop quality management system, and good engineering and manufacturing practices to be followed in engineering and production.


Experience with electronics development for microprocessor/embedded systems and data acquisition systems

Working knowledge (background) of mechanical designs and lab methods.

Basic understanding of software design and Labview

Experience as supervisor (e.g. as lab supervisor in university setting)
